Togo: 26 Coastal Protection Groynes Provisionally Accepted!

After several months of construction, the machinery operated by Boskalis has fallen silent along Togo’s coastline. On the Gbodjomé–Agbodrafo–Goumoukopé–Kpémé stretch, all 26 coastal protection groynes have now been completed. Another milestone was reached on 2 October 2026 with their provisional acceptance.

Ahead of the handover, an inspection team comprising representatives from the Directorate of Debt and Finance, the supervision consultant, the WACA Project Management Unit, the public procurement officer and Boskalis visited the various sites to inspect the structures and assess the quality of the completed works.

The findings were positive! According to Albert LIMAZIE, an engineer with the supervision firm Inros Lackner, and Dr ADOU RAHIM ALIMI Assimiou, National Coordinator of WACA Togo, the works were carried out in accordance with the technical specifications.

The structures are covered by a warranty until October 2027, when final acceptance is expected. An official report formalised the provisional acceptance.
