Cote d’Ivoire: New convention to Conserve and Restore the Azagny Parks and Ehotilé Islands

In October, WACA Cote d’Ivoire signed a convention with the agency in charge of parks and reserves.

Call for Innovation Demo-Day

The top-5 Shortlisted competitors have been invited to present their proposal to a Demo Day, a live and virtual audience of World Bank Managers, Partners, and Investors which is planned from November 17(close to public) to 18(open to public), 2020.Their proposals will also be presented in the WACA Innovation Book.

WACA Call for Innovation

The World Bank Group launched a Call for Innovation under the West Africa Coastal Areas Management Program (WACA) on Febuary 28th. More specifically, the call is part of the ongoing WACA Resilience Investment Project (WACA ResIP), a multi-country regional project that aims to support present assets and strengthen the resilience of coastal communities for Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, Mauritania, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, and Togo.

Mauritania, World Oceans Day Celebrated through the Press

World Oceans Day was celebrated in Nouakchott in the context of Covid 19. Emphasis was placed on the presentation of WACA through the press. The objective was to increase the visibility of the project in order to obtain the adhesion and full participation of the target populations.

Projet WACA ResIP : le Comité Régional de Pilotage tient sa 4ème réunion

Le 26 juin 2020, s’est tenue par visioconférence, la 4ème session ordinaire du Comité Régional de Pilotage (CRP) du Projet d’Investissement pour la Résilience des Zones Côtières en Afrique de l’Ouest (WACA ResIP). L’objectif était de passer en revue l’état de mise en œuvre des activités du projet aux niveaux national et sous-régional ainsi que les dispositions prises pour la continuité des activités dans le contexte de la Covid19.
